Prabowo has been a staunch advocate for the Free Nutritious Meal Programme (MBG), even during the 2014 election campaign, emphasizing the importance of ensuring adequate nutrition and education for Indonesian children. Upon assuming office as the 8th President of Indonesia in October 2024, Prabowo officially launched the MBG programme on 6th January 2025, extending its reach to all 31 provinces in the country.
