Kunjungan Prabowo dan Macron di Istana: Merah, Putih, dan Biru

More than 70 years have passed since Indonesia and France established diplomatic relations in 1947. Recently, French President Emmanuel Macron received a warm state welcome in Jakarta, Indonesia, showcasing the strong friendship and mutual respect between the two nations. The historical event took place at Merdeka Palace, where over 3,000 students from elementary to high school levels gathered, dressed in their school uniforms and waving the flags of Indonesia and France. The grand motorcade carrying President Macron and First Lady Brigitte Macron made its way from Monas to the palace amidst tight security measures, enhancing the ceremonial ambiance of the occasion.

Upon his arrival at Merdeka Palace, President Macron greeted the students warmly and was formally welcomed by President Prabowo Subianto. The two leaders proceeded together to the ceremonial grounds, where the national anthems of both countries were played, accompanied by a 21-gun salute as a mark of respect. Subianto and Macron then inspected the honor guard under the clear blue sky of Jakarta, with Macron acknowledging the enthusiasm of the students waving flags in the palace courtyard.

The ceremony was attended by ministers from the Red and White Cabinet, as well as Prabowo’s son, Ragowo Hediprasetyo. Macron’s itinerary in Indonesia included a visit to the Military Academy in Magelang and a tour of the UNESCO World Heritage site, Borobudur Temple, emphasizing the common cultural and educational values shared by Indonesia and France. Following the welcoming ceremony, the two heads of state engaged in a closed-door bilateral meeting to discuss strategic partnerships, signifying a significant strengthening of ties between the two nations.
