President Prabowo Subianto received a warm welcome during his official visit to Saudi Arabia on July 1, 2025. Indonesian elementary school children in Jeddah greeted the President with excitement, waving flags and chanting, “Welcome, Mr. President!” The atmosphere quickly turned festive as President Prabowo engaged with the children, smiling and taking photos with them. One student, Arsad Hanfana Al-Syarabi, introduced himself proudly as the child of Indonesian Embassy staff in Jeddah. Before continuing his visit, President Prabowo shared a heartfelt message to the children, encouraging them to excel in their studies.
The encounter was emotional not only for the children but also for members of the Indonesian community in Jeddah, such as Hanif Hasanuddin from the Muhammadiyah Special Branch (PCIM). Hanif expressed gratitude for the President’s visit and shared his hopes for Indonesia’s future. Accompanied by high-ranking Indonesian officials, President Prabowo’s visit strengthened the bond with the Indonesian community abroad.
