President Prabowo Subianto of Indonesia recently attended the Maulid Nabi Muhammad SAW 1447 H celebration at Istiqlal Mosque in Jakarta. This event, which was also attended by Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka, Defense Minister Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin, and Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya, centered around the theme of “The 2025 State-Level Commemoration of the Prophet Muhammad’s Birthday: Ecotheology – The Example of Prophet Muhammad SAW for the Sustainability of the Earth and the Nation.”
During the celebration, Minister of Religious Affairs Nasaruddin Umar gave a sermon highlighting the significance of love, compassion, and happiness. The Imam of Istiqlal Mosque, Husni Ismail, led a prayer focusing on the importance of protecting nature and promoting peace. The main goal of the event was to pay homage to Prophet Muhammad SAW and encourage his followers to preserve the environment in line with his teachings.
This gathering served as a reminder of the teachings and values of Prophet Muhammad SAW, inspiring the attendees to follow his example in caring for the earth and the nation.
