Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – Apple’s latest HP, the iPhone 15 series, has a long wait time to reach consumers. Especially the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max which have a wait time of several months.
But a TikTok user suddenly got lucky by receiving 60 units of iPhone 15 Pro Max from Apple.
TikToker with the account @legends_gio ordered several iPhone 15 Pro Max for his work needs.
He ordered the iPhone 15 Pro Max 1TB for himself and three 256GB variants for his team. When the package arrived, he received his iPhone in good condition, but there was a “surprise” with the other three phones.
Instead of receiving three iPhone 15 Pro Max 256GB as ordered, he received three large boxes which, when opened, turned out to contain 20 boxes of iPhones inside.
So in total, @legends_gio received 60 units of iPhone 15 Pro Max, all of which are the highest variant with a 1TB variant.
One unit of iPhone 15 Pro Max 1TB is sold for US$1,599 or around Rp 25 million. If the TikToker received three boxes of iPhone 15 Pro Max, the total value he received is around US$96,000 or Rp 1.5 billion.
Although this is Apple’s mistake, he cannot sell or distribute the 60 units of iPhone he received. Because Apple can lock the iPhones he received illegally from a distance so they cannot be used.
The TikTok video @legends_gio about the misplaced iPhone has been watched more than 14 million times and has received 1.6 million likes. Although the video was uploaded only about 2 days ago.
Netizens flooded the comments section of the video. Some asked if he would sell them again, or hold a giveaway for the iPhone 15 for free. Some said, “If I were you, I wouldn’t make this video. I would just keep it all to myself.”
