Pacu Jalur Children Thrilled Meeting President Prabowo

Wirotirta and Aryana, two young Pacu Jalur performers, had the opportunity to showcase their talents at the Independence Day celebrations at Merdeka Palace, marking Indonesia’s 80th anniversary. Their faces were filled with wide smiles as they expressed their excitement and happiness, especially when they had the chance to perform before President Prabowo Subianto. Dressed in vibrant green traditional Malay attire, the children’s synchronized and energetic movements captivated the audience, bringing the pride of regional culture to the national stage.

The children felt proud and moved when President Prabowo clasped their small hands after the performance. They described the President as kind and wished him good health and blessings. The cheers and applause from the crowd added to the festive spirit of the Independence Day celebration at the palace grounds. The event also featured a pencak silat troupe showcasing martial arts prowess, action star Iko Uwais performing traditional Indonesian self-defense art, and the graceful Tari Payung Merah Putih (Red-and-White Umbrella Dance) enriching the celebratory atmosphere. The day was truly unforgettable for Wirotirta, Aryana, and all who witnessed the cultural performances.
